What if I’m already in a network marketing company and that company is NOT a Portfolio Company? PDF Print E-mail

My answer: GREAT!!!! OYC does not produce a product and therefore does not compete with any other network marketing company.  If you’re making money in some other company, why would you quit?  OYC was created to increase your income, not reduce it.  The real question is this: Do you think you and your team would be interested in doubling, tripling, or even quadrupling your income with no additional effort?  The answer is obvious.  OYC is at its core a team incubator system.  Meaning, it was created to help people build teams quickly and cheaply.  The genesis for OYC is that I was in a network marketing company and was struggling.  While I could recruit people, many of my team with less experience were having trouble. I needed a “system” that would allow my team members to build a team without having to come up with significant amounts of cash.  That “system” had to be straight forward and honest.  It had to be something that the typical Joe/Jane could implement.  OYC fit the bill.  

OYC was created to help entrepreneurs recruit prospects into their business of choice.  As I was developing this system, I quickly realized that there was no reason to limit my team members to a single opportunity. Many people on my team were already in various network marketing companies.  I decided to give the team a list of “pre-approved” companies that had been researched and were safe bets.  It was never my intention for those “pre-approved” companies (we call them Portfolio Companies) to replace what they were already doing.

So, how do I integrate it with my current efforts? 

If I was a distributor for Acme MLM and Acme was NOT a Portfolio Company, I’d approach it like this:

1.      I know that my team will be able to recruit much faster into OYC than into Acme.  Why?

a.      Minimal upfront cost.

b.     Minimal knowledge required.

                                                              i.     They don’t need to have any knowledge of a product because OYC doesn’t have one.

                                                            ii.     They don’t need to understand any specific market.

                                                           iii.     They don’t need to learn how to pronounce the name of some berry they’ve never heard of.

c.      Building a team once and using that same team again and again makes sense.  It’s much easier to double my income by buying product from a second company than it is to double the size of my team.

d.     Yes, they have to build a team.  But it’s the last team they will ever have to build.  People just get it.

2.      Yes, I would introduce Acme to my contacts but I’d also introduce them to my team incubator system, OYC.

3.      I’d show them how they can build a team for only $9 a month and then join Acme when they have a team big enough to create positive cash flow.

4.      I’d explain to them that not only will they be able to grow their team faster and make more money in Acme, but that they will also be able to double, triple, or even quadruple their income because OYC shows them how to use their organization in more than one company.

5.      I would then sign them up in OYC and start helping them build their team.

6.      When their team is big enough, I’d show them how to join Acme and then the first OYC Portfolio Company.

What about those people I’ve already recruited into Acme?

Most companies have policies and procedures that disallow you from contacting anyone in your organization outside of your personal enrollees (another good reason to build your team in OYC first).  So let’s start there.  It’s a very simple phone call:

“Fred, I have decided to implement a new system for my Acme organization. It’s called Own Your Channel. Basically, it’s a team incubator system. OYC gives them all the same tools they get at Acme except it’s only $9 per month.  They get replicated websites and back office functionality that allows them to track their team’s progress.  Since they haven’t joined Acme yet, they are able to build their team for a monthly fee that’s less than the cost of a pizza.  Once they have a team going, we THEN sign them up into Acme. So now, they’re making money from day 1 with minimal risk.  I know it’s going to explode our recruiting efforts.

But the benefits don’t stop there.  Because they are building a team around the concept of “if you build a big team, you’ll make money in any company”, our distributors will be able to use their teams in more than a single opportunity.  OYC has identified truly stellar companies which they call “Portfolio Companies.”  These companies are pre-approved and meet a stringent list of requirements.  So our teams will be able to double their income by simply signing up with these Portfolio Companies in addition to Acme. They aren’t leaving Acme; they are simply adding additional products to their shelves. 

Think about it.  If you wanted to double your income at Acme, you’d have to double the size of your team. No small task.  But with OYC, they can simply agree to buy product from one of their Portfolio Companies in addition to buying from Acme.  It’s a win-win.  Acme grows faster than ever before and our team members are doubling, tripling, and quadrupling their income by simply buying another $100 of product from Company A, B, and C.”

Obviously, customize this message so it sounds like it came from you.  Instruct your personal enrollees on how to share this message. Now, no one is breaking any rules and you will quickly see your organization re-implemented in OYC.

Conclusion:

If you truly care about the welfare of your team members, why wouldn’t you introduce them to something that will dramatically simply their recruiting efforts and multiply their income by the number of products on their shelves?  Your team benefits as do you.  Nobody loses.
