Many of the portfolio companies have given OYC members discounts on signing up or additional bonuses.  Sometimes these benefits come with expiration dates.  The is no general rule but in most cases, OYC members will join the Portfolio Companies at a reduced price.  It's one of the many benefits of being an OYC member.
